Sacramento Harness Association (SHA)
and California Amateur Driving Club (CADC) Presents
Fall 2005 Amateur Race Series

Dates:             October through December, 2005

 Races:            One pace and one trot each week
                         Classes to vary and to be determined by Racing Secretary                       
                         Each week, races to be run on same day whenever possible and skewed toward Friday or Saturday

 Drivers:          Must be CADC members in good standing and meet all CADC and CHRB requirements

                        Drivers must arrange for their drives on eligible horses.  There will be no random assignment of drivers.

 

Awards:          Top 3 drivers will receive trophies.

                        Top 4 or 5 drivers to compete in Invitational Amateur Driving Event.  Final details not yet completed by CADC and SHA plan to invite out top amateurs from another club or Billings series to compete in weekend long series in January 2006.

 Standings:     Driver standings to be determined by point system as specified below and on CADC web site
                         (www.thecadc.com).  Points are earned based on order of finish and more points are awarded in
                         larger fields.

Final Driver Standings

1.      Determined by Total Points/Greater of Total Races Driven or 1/3 of the total number of races run

2.      It total races run not divisible by 3 exactly, will round down

3.      In case of ties, first tie breaker will be total points accumulated.  Further ties broken by lot.

4.      Any rule not specifically addressed above or otherwise established by CADC will be decided by CADC Executive Committee
